VintageComputerRental.com

We are a network of passionate subject matter experts renting vintage or retro computer equipment from our private and museum collections of desktops, portables, laptops and servers, mainframes, and supercomputers ranging from common systems to hard-to-find, and ultra-rare machines from the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's 1990's and 2000's. Our trained affiliate collectors, many of whom are seasoned Information Technology professionals, work with you to create the perfect authentic, period correct presentation for your TV, Streaming, Film, Advertising, or Theatrical production or Photo Shoot featuring computer equipment from our extensive collections.  We can often provide more than just the keyboard and mouse too, as our collections may include other related period prop and set decoration items (like printers, disks, manuals, magazines and other collectibles and vintage electronics) to truly complete the scene.


We can provide systems for corporate events, exhibitions, educational programs & displays, and even prepare fully functional systems with custom software installs for special events, educational purposes and research projects.  Our subject matter experts are also available for Vintage Technology Historical-Accuracy Consulting.

Darren Hill: Owner & Props/Set Dresser

Darren’s technology journey started in elementary school during the 1980’s with Apple II’s then Macintoshes, Windows PC’s and UNIX systems in high school and college. He worked for an Internet Service Provider during the 1990’s Internet boom and later spent over two decades in Information Technology and Information Security with a major international mass media company working with TV, Cable and Film  crews, production teams & leadership . He has been collecting and restoring vintage computers since 2023 and is the founder of VintageComputerRental.com and Zanthius Technology Consulting

Kara produces, directs, and assists visual media creation with a heart for both creativity and logistics. They have many credits across the documentary, narrative and music video genres, and enjoy inviting people into memorable experiences through their work as a dancer, musician, and - as some may say - your favorite on-set "Resident Advisor". Kara has an Emmy nomination for the science TV show Xploration Outer Space and is a team member on the Grammy winning project So Glad To Know You. Kara lives in Philly with her two cats, Ramina and Pistachio.

Ryan is Managing Director of Educate, Innovate, Inspire Consulting, LLC, where he helps organizations improve leadership and team performance. He brings experience in international affairs, having worked with the EU, GAO, and political campaigns, including a run for U.S. Congress. Ryan has owned businesses in marketing, IT, real estate, and consulting. He taught international business at the University of Delaware, with research focused on leadership and accountability. Ryan holds degrees from Dickinson College and Syracuse University, and completed doctoral work at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. He has also served in local business and economic leadership roles.
