Visual Condition: Excellent

Working Order: Fully Functional

Description: The Portable was intended to be released as a portable complement to the Mac lineup of the late 1980s. Design issues and production delays led to a 1989 release, and by this time it was heavy and had a poor battery life compared to its competition. It was discontinued after the release of the first generation of PowerBook laptops.

Visual Condition: Very Good, some scuffs. 

Working Order: Non-Functional, Decorative Only

Description: The 3200SX series was part of Toshiba's line of semiportable desktop-replacement workstations. The 3200SXC had a faster CPU than the SX and came with a color display. Like other workstations, these saw use in engineering, oil & gas, and other areas requiring high performance.

Macintosh PowerBook 170

Visual Condition: Excellent

Working Order: Fully Functional, AC power only

Description: The PowerBook 170 was the flagship of the first generation of Apple's PowerBook line of laptops. The 170 was roughly on par in performance with high end desktop Macs of the time, but in a form factor that fit in a work bag.

About the collector

Cesya has been working in information technology since the 2010s, with a focus on infrastructure and "operational technology" such as industrial and medical systems. Before moving into IT she trained as an A/V professional working on live events. She has been collecting and maintaining vintage computers since 2022, with a focus on workstations and mobile systems from the beginning of the internet age.
